Analysis of Selection and Performance of Public Transport Mode In Tarakan City

<em>The problems of passenger transportation (TAP) in Tarakan City are multi-dimensional, such as, fares and routes that less organized uneven, inconvenience secure, excess passengers during peak hours vice versa, condition operator systems, increased pollution noise the number accidents traffic violations, driver behavior. In short, root problem is incompatibility between Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW) for city TAP. This study aims to assess performance based on descriptive statistical methods to: see demand population movement; route transport operations; infrastructure, as well level road service form ratio volume per segment capacity. The results achieved found existing TAP was relatively not optimal, main secondary roads because increase vehicle significantly influenced by high movement, land use, service, comfort, load factor, conditions.</em>
